Planning Your Closet
We start by reviewing the space with you and confirming the closet’s size, layout, and door style. We’ll also discuss shelf and hanging rod placement so the finished closet works for your needs.

Protecting Your Home
Before construction begins, we protect nearby floors and furniture and prepare the work area to help limit dust and debris.

Building the Frame
We frame the closet walls and door opening, making sure everything is level, square, and securely attached. We also add support where the shelf and hanging rod will be installed.

Installing and Finishing Drywall
Next, we install drywall on the new closet walls, tape the seams, and apply joint compound. Once dry, we sand the surfaces smooth to prepare them for painting.

Adding the Door, Trim, and Paint
We install the door, casing, and baseboards, then fill nail holes and caulk trim joints for a clean finish. The new surfaces are primed and painted in your selected colors.

Installing Shelving and the Hanging Rod
We securely install the agreed-upon shelf and hanging rod to complete your storage space. If you’d like closet lighting or additional shelving, we can discuss those options during planning.

Final Walkthrough and Cleanup
We check the door operation, shelving, and finished surfaces, clean the work area, and walk through the completed closet with you.
